From the Author
Selected Poems is my first published book of poetry. It is an anthology of lyrical verse which I wrote while traveling in my late teens and early twenties. The poetry within this book was written circa 1984- 1990. This book was published at my own expense in the fall of 2011 by Xlibris, a publishing firm based in Bloomington, Indiana. The one consistent theme of this book is romantic love and mystical love. This poems within this collection are mostly comprised of sonnets and were greatly influenced by the French symbolists of the 19th century. Such writers as Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Charles Baudelaire and Gerard Nerval made a tremendous impact on my earliest poetry. There are roughly 75 poems within this book, and they are all of the highest quality. I am also the author of four other poetry books and one work of fiction.
